Prasanna
is the only professionally
performing exponent of carnatic music on the electric guitar. This versatile
guitarist has won encomiums in the world of Carnatic music and was befittingly
felicitated in Jan 2001 by the music academy, Chennai for "outstanding
adaptation of a western instrument to Carnatic Music". His music tutelage
began under the late vocalist Tiruvarur S. Balasubramaniam and later continued
under the renowned violinist Kum.A. Kanyakumari.
He has several releases
to his credit. Natabairavi, Shakthi,Apoorva and Roots being some of his
notable ones. This illustrious alumnus of IIT Chennai, is also an accomplished
performer of jazz, blues, rock and fusion music and has performed with
renowned jazz musicians like Jarnie Haddad, Skip Hadden and Marc Rossi.

of the illustrious Shri Palghat Mani Iyer), Lakshman is a graded AIR artiste
and has accompanied many great artistes including Dr. L. Subramaniam, Mysore
Dorai Swamy Iyengar and Prof. T.R.Subramaniam.
