ABOUT THE HESPERIAN FOUNDATION

The Hesperian Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to
improving the health of people in poor communities throughout the world
by making health information accessible. The foundation produce books and
other educational resources for community-based health care.
AID-Bay Area has received a grant from the foundation for producing a tamil version of their book "Where Women Have no Doctor"
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Jane obtained her graduate training in medical anthropology and journalism
(including medical and
science writing). She has served as:
Jane is currently researching and writing a health care book for
women with disabilities. She has extensive experience as a lay practitioner
in women's medicine in inner-city US clinics. She is also endowed with
international experience in women's health and health education in Ghana,
the Central African Republic,Zimbabwe, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil and China.
This event is FREE and all are WELCOME to attend.
