Gundya - Campaign for Human and Environment Justice	The struggle against the proposed Gundya Hydro Electric Project in the Western Ghats rain forests is gaining momentum with the KPCL and Karnataka deciding to start the preliminary survey work with police support, inspite of the widespread public opposition to the project. CEM (Community Environment Monitoring) - The Other Media	The project aims to enable pollution impacted communities to monitor, document and communicate pollution and its impacts on health and environment in a language that regulators and industry cannot ignore.	Tamil Nadu	Environment Monitoring

Eureka People's Library Project	Sensing an urgent need for a scalable women and children centered library movement in villages, AID Chennai has come up with a well thought out, innovative proposal of establishing high quality, regularly updated libraries in 5000 villages of Tamil Nadu, at a cost of about $30 per libary per year. AID Chennai, along with a group of other local NGOs, will work in 10 networks of 500 villages, which are again divided into 10 clusters of 50 villages each. Training programs for the library coordinators at different levels, feedback mechanism for the library readerships, and monthly review meetings have been worked into the proposal. AMAN Earthquake Relief Project (Completed)	Providing with the villagers of Uri district with basic medicine and health care post the earthquake. The project also works on lobbying with the government for restarting the Primary Health Care Center, which was destroyed as a result of the earthquake.
